ThaFormula.com - What happened with the Artifacts project?.

Tame 1 - We split because of creative differences man.  He wanted to do on thing and I wanted to do another.  

ThaFormula.com - What did he wanna do?

Tame 1 - I can't even say what he wanted to do.  It was that he just wanted to go in a whole different direction with it.  

ThaFormula.com - Did the Artifacts project help you alot as far as experience goes ?

Tame 1 - Yeah, I got a chance to travel and meet people and what not.

ThaFormula.com - Did it do good as far as what you guys were hopin for?

Tame 1 - No, not really.   

ThaFormula.com - How did you guys hook up with T - Ray during the Artifacts project?

Tame 1 - He was submitting beats to the label at the time and we heard some and just picked from there..  

ThaFormula.com - So how did you end up hookin up with Eastern Conference?

Tame 1 - I had met the High & Mighty back in the Artifacts days and whatnot and I bumped into them one day in the city and we just started kicking it.  They told me they were starting up the Eastern Conference thing and asked me if I wanted to get down with it.  Basically, he put the offer out there, so I jumped on it.  

ThaFormula.com - And how has it been so far?

Tame 1 - It's cool so far.

ThaFormula.com - How was it filming that video?

Tame 1 - Oh that was bugged out.   

ThaFormula.com - How is your album lookin.  Have you started to work on it yet?

Tame 1 - Just recently.  It's comin out slowly but surely.  We have recorded 2 tracks for the album so far.

ThaFormula.com - So what should people expect from the Tame 1 album? 

Tame 1 - just some gritty brick cityness with a touch of my sick humor and hopefully the dopest beats on the planet.

ThaFormula.com - What do you have lined up production wise?  

Tame 1 - So far Mighty MI, V.I.C. from The Beatnuts, a couple of members of my boom squad and so far that's it.

ThaFormula.com - So what were you doing in between The artifacts days till now?

Tame 1 - There was a club where we had a weekly function at.  It was a club called the Pipeline and we were doing that for a minute and just working on each others projects.  Being that I was the only one in the industry most of it never came to light.  

ThaFormula.com - So did you have to work any full time job or something during that time? 

Tame 1 - Nah, let's just say illegal business controls America.     

ThaFormula.com - So where exactly are you from Tame?

Tame 1 - North New Jersey.    

ThaFormula.com - What's the biggest difference to you in the underground scene since the Artifacts days?

Tame 1 - Well the biggest thing I would have to say is it seems like the underground scene is shrinkin almost.  When we were out as The Artifacts is was a whole entire movement, where as nowadays it's like either you are super paid or you don't exist.  I think it's just more business oriented then music oriented.

ThaFormula.com - So how is it out in New Jersey?

Tame 1 - New Jersey is like a low budget New York.  Were doing the exact same thing that there doing, but it seems like at a slower rate.    

ThaFormula.com - Do you think New Jersey has gotten the props it deserves or do you think you are still slept on?

Tame 1 - Oh No, we are still slept on.  The only major rappaz we have down here is cats like Redman or Naughty.  You can count the groups on one hand.  

ThaFormula.com - So what are your hopes for your new album man?

Tame 1 - Just to continue on the tradition and hopefully put myself back in the spotlight and bring some shine back to Jersey.  I mean every artist wants sells.  I'm just lookin to reenter the forum.  

ThaFormula.com - So when should people expect your album to drop?

Tame 1 - Probably in May of next year.
